About the awards
The Radio Wigwam Awards — now the Grassroots Music Awards — celebrate the very best of independent, unsigned and under-the-radar music. Held every January at The Bedford in Balham, London, 2026 marks the 9th edition, with 17 categories spanning bands, solo artists, genres and grassroots venues. Getting nominated is simple: subscribe to Radio Wigwam and upload your music for airplay, and you're automatically in the running. Alongside the ceremony, Grassroots Connect brings the community together for a networking night and live party — run in partnership with Red Lantern Records.
