Asomata

About

Asomata was formed in 2023 in Athens Greece Asomata are: Jaan Paern: Guitar/Vocals Theodore Papachristos: Guitar Mike Papamichelakis: Bass Guitar Laszlo Olaszki: Drums It all begun, a couple of years ago, when the drummer, Laszlo upon arriving in Greece from Hungary, posted a facebook advertisment, in which Theodore responded. The 2 started jamming together and soon enough they were looking to form a band A few months later, vocalist Jaan upon arriving in Athens from Estonia, posted an advertisment, seeking bandmates, which he found in Theo and Laszlo Now the various jams and random riffs started to take shape, but the band was still missing a bass guitarist. And that’s when Mike, Theo’s old friend from the highschool days, called Theodore asking about the possibility to form a band together. Next thing you know, we call ourselves ASOMATA. Asomata litteraly means bodyless, as in spirits, formless, souls. By June 2023 the band now had 5 songs ready to be recorded and decided to go to Made in Hell studio in Athens and work with French sound engineer David Prudent By November 2023 recordings, mixing and mastering were concluded and on December 22 2023 Asomata released their first single, the song “Little Man” And now, a month later we bring to the world our self titled 5 track EP Our EP is the fruit of our individual personal frustrations, anger, protest, dissapointment But it also is our expression of hope for a better tomorrow Sometimes dark, sometimes wild, all 5 songs of our EP have a character of their own. Getting connected to a band , to a song is a very personal and individual situation that can or can not happen for any reason. After all it is art. But we strongly believe that you will find good quality rock music in our EP
