About
A series of long-distance online collaborations exploded into life as the emotive, expansive, sound of Atlas Rivers in late 2023. The story began in north Cumbria but Steve (guitar vocals), Glen (bass, vocals) and Gav (drums, vocals) are now based in Manchester, Carlisle and Barcelona, somehow making it work. 2024 brought their first gigs in Manchester, two single self releases and significant regional radio play including Sheffield Live, Gorgeous Radio, 6 Towns radio and an interview on Tameside radio. Their latest release The Vanishing has been described as ‘highly original music with wide appeal’ by Plastic Magazine, an ‘anthemic masterpiece‘ by Cage Riot and ‘broad and euphoric indie rock’ by Mystic Sons. 2025 is being mapped out with four more single releases and exciting gigs to announce. They work closely with South City Studios in Stockport who have supported their journey so far.
