About
CHECKMAZE began his profession as a DJ at 14, working in some clubs on Roman soil. At 21 he began working as a sound engineer and speaker in some local radio stations in Rome, also engaging as a musician in some bands: he switched from drums to guitar, and then moved on to bass. At the same time he began to work as a music producer and wrote songs in the new wave mold of the 80s using bands of the caliber of Duran Duran and Frankie Goes To Hollywood as a reference, passing through the experiments of Art Of Noise. In 2020 he came into contact with Sorry Mom management and the Be Next Music label with whom he released two singles "Can I Put It" and "Time", plus the remix of "Time" and the remix of "WWYH" by the group Raystars. The partnership with Sorry Mom and Be Next Music also continues in 2021 with the release of the EP "Cinque" where five songs from the Panellian period by Lucio Battisti are re-proposed and reinterpreted. In 2022 he released the single "Non Mi Spegnere L’Hi-Fi", again under the management of SorryMom. As an independent artist he's going to release the new song called "Another Man's Day", on October 27th. In Jan 2023 he's involved in the side project called Gazillion Zero as a musician and producer together with artist Fabio Andreozzi, and published the first album Frequencies of Life. The song Life Ambitions included in it was in nomination at theAwards 2023 by Radio Wigwam for Best Electro Act.
