About
Dub Project was founded by DJs Stuart Black and Rob Coglan, with the accompaniment MC Junior Campbell, all known as 'Mr Black', 'RoBBerto' and 'Phatt Jak'. Mr Black has started out from 88' Hiphop and now is focused on the revivial of techno and house music in the club scenes. RoBBerto grew up with motown classics, and then made the leap to broken beats many years later when he met Mr Black. Both DJ’s Rob and Stuart were DJing since young, with a mutual love for a multitude of musical genres ranging from tech house, electronica to break dnb. Dub project is a genre-less project, born out of a passion for big soundsystems, big crowds and big energy. Mc Junior Campbell known as 'Phatt Jak' grew up listening to reggae starting on the mic at just the young age of 16. Taking inspiration from prominent sound systems in the UK and Jamaica such as Saxon, Unity and Killamanjaro, Junior had his big first performance at Luton Carnival in 1989. After his talent being recognised from labello Bianco Records, he worked on “Slow Down" with the current no.1 in the reggae charts, artist Frighty. Many more reggae and garage tracks later, Junior found Mr Black and RoBBerto. Rob and Stuart boast an impressive repertoire of performances and experience, playing all over the world and creating remixes for artists .
