About
Transmitting a sound best described as “jubilant, 60s inspired indie rock” is Emerson; a four piece group hailing from their sleepy suburban hometown of Fleet, Hampshire. Their impressive, developed songs blend the romanticism and structures of 60s and 70s pop music (Bowie, The Beatles, The Hollies) with idyllic guitar hooks reminiscent of 2000s indie bands (Strokes, Cribs, Arctic Monkeys) and underpin it all with a punchy, ever-present rhythm section. Their songs, drenched in nostalgia and with literate, often self-deprecating lyricism, explore themes of contempt for the modern world, love struggles and much more, delivered in the guise of one’s shameful inner monologue. With support slots for Full Flower Moon Band, Stone, FEET, The Molotovs and Beddy Rays under their belt as well as several festival appearances including a mainstage slot at Camper Calling in 2025, the boys continue to go from strength to strength.
