About
JJohnny & the Box is the alias of singer/songwriter Jon Louth. Having sung in bands such as 'A Thousand Days' and the 'Radiofaces' he now writes records and produces his own guitar based indie pop/rock music. The song 'Breathe' from the album 'Scapegoat' was a semi finalist in the UK songwriting contest 2020. Three further albums; 'The Runaways' (2021) , 'Truth and Lies' (2023) and 'Fundamental' (2025) were then released to much critical acclaim. Johnny's music is melodic guitar driven indie rock/pop , although he is not averse to utilising keyboards , strings and horn sections, when the song demands them. Johnny's style has been compared to the sound of the 'golden age of Britpop' . The new track 'Yesterday's Boy's' is released on April 10th 2026. Written by, long time collaborator and friend, Mike Richmond the song is an uptempo 'coming of age' rock song. Enjoy! The album 'Fundamental' was released on 22nd February 2025.
