About
Mary on the Milky Way is the artistic project of the Greek songwriter Maria Giarmeniti. The debut single "When the Sun walks away" from the self-titled album was released on December 17th, 2022 on all digital stores. Its sound incorporates elements from the widest range of the alternative pop and rock scene. The arrangement and production, as well as the recording with natural instruments was performed by the artist Antonis Hatzimichalis (Made by Grey @madebygreyMadebygrey ). The creator Maria entered the Sounds from the Ground studio to record songs that she had composed a few years ago. These songs form into shape through Antonis' artistic virtuosity and will be released in a new EP. The project Mary on the Milky Way is the first creative expression of Maria Giarmeniti, who from an early age began to compose songs through her piano lessons. Her main influences are American indie pop like Sheryl Crow, The Chicks, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac and British sound like Keane, Cure. Her love for music follows her throughout her life.
