About
Mickey Haimes is a singer-songwriter based in Guernsey, supported by BBC Music In The Channel Islands. After following his debut single ‘Sunlight’s Exposure’ with releases 'Solipsism Sunday' and 'Not By You', Mickey confronts men's mental health with his latest track 'I Don't Talk'. Depicting the pain of silent struggles, this heartfelt song addresses the stigma surrounding mental health, in particular the male tendency to bottle things up inside and reluctance to open up . With a debut EP set for Summer 2025, his songs promise to resonate with fans of thought-provoking indie music. Mickey brings a unique blend of folk, blues and indie rock that tells the story of a 20-something navigating life in the modern world. He has been described as "a kind of blue-eyed soul, indie-blues with a hint of reggae," and is said to "captivate audiences with his soulful, personal touch, unique lyrical style, and inspired storytelling."
