About
NEEDSHES is the indie rock band founded by singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Otabek Salamov originally from Tashkent (Uzbekistan). Bek attended the music academy where he was awarded the first price for his precision on clarinet. As a teen, his interests varied, and he was drawn to compose metalcore. One day he decided to dilute it with melodic undertones. Soon he realized that the switch was something that gravitated to his liking. His biggest influences stemmed from James Brown, David Bowie, Queen, The Killers, Jack White, RHCP, U2, a-ha, Coldplay. As a producer, Otabek works with other indie artists. The biggest one as of today is British artist SOHODOLLS, also known as Maya von Doll. NEEDSHES’ music has been featured in international movies and TV ads (Lay's, Renault). Having supported You Me At Six live and performed at the FIFA Fan Fest, NEEDSHES have garnered support from American Songwriter, Topsify, idobi Radio, Indiemono, Alt Press, PopMatters, Amazing Radio, and BBC Radio 6 Music. Otabek is also known for magnificent Live looping streams he makes on his hand-made setup with a dozen pedals. He plays all musical instruments by himself. You can check it on youtube.
