About

Nullor is the solo songwriting project of some jerk (Dan Crawford). Don’t look him up, nobody knows him. He was in several Texas dwelling bands (Forever After Market, Splinter, Lies Between, Stumpgrinder; don’t look them up, nobody wrote about them). Done with taking too long to do too little, he started collecting his little misery melodies of loathing and dread in a dirty little music box; in case future events demand a manifesto. But “Dan Crawford” is a painfully anticlimactic moniker to attribute to such a harrowing hillock of ick (and some jerk isn’t much better, though it IS better), so Nullor was coined and assigned, a freshly unknown entity to struggle at marketing and sharing. Splattering out a chaotic canvas of music nobody listens to with violence and precision. But it turns out that singing is hard, and he doesn’t want to do it (what a jerk). Enter Michael Smith…really? That must be a fake name. Formerly of Splinter, Determination and Inner Sanctum, fellow prior-band-victim, grouchy agitator, and vocal conspirator (and phony name haver). Nullor music ranges through Groove, Alternative, Doom, Thrash and Progressive Metals, and probably some Dark Rock just to further hamstring listenability. Instead of starting in one narrow genre and moving away from it to other things over time, Nullor strives to do all these things spastically as the urges to create in those directions arise.
