About
OMAZONE (Ben Wintle) is a Melbourne, Australia based independent, musician, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He released his anticipated 2nd album "Enjoy The Revolution!" in 2025, traversing a wide range of styles from melodic pop, rock, political disco, folk and funk to acapella. After years of recording and playing live in many bands, OMAZONE has written, recorded, mixed, produced and performed this second album to accompany his 2017 debut “Home Time”. "Enjoy The Revolution!" - The album's title track was inspired by some graffiti I read on a wall whilst in Cairo, Egypt in 2011, just after the revolution. It was so profound it stopped me in my tracks and you can see the picture I took on the back cover of this album, it’s also the artwork for this single. “Enjoy The Revolution!” the song, was written and recorded in the last few months of 2024 and was inspired by recent major political events including the cost of living crisis, the situation in the Middle East and the AUKUS nuclear submarine deal entered into by the Australian Government, with the American and English Governments. I thought the subject matter would be more palatable with a funky bassline and disco beat. So here it is, Political Disco! I wanted this album to cover four quadrants of music: happy, sad, fast and slow - so there’s a variety of styles and tempo’s on there. It contains a variety of musical styles such as political disco, folk, funk, rock, an acapella song and pure "jangle" pop - all drenched in harmonies! Some really up-tempo and happy tunes and one very sad slow folky tune called “Lost, Homeless, Stateless”. There is more information available on the website and there are links to the music listed below, which is available now on 160 streaming services. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did making it and please don't hesitate to get in touch for any further information.
