About

NEW ALBUM “CROP CIRCLES” FEBRUARY 10, 2023 Reformation is the solo project by musician Jacob (Jay) Wood. Reformation is Ambient Post-Rock/Experimental Rock with influences such as Collapse Under the Empire, If These Trees Could Talk, Distant Dream, Rush and Porcupine Tree. From Charleston, SC Jay’s background in music began with the guitar at age 16 along with vocal training at a young age. In his 20’s, Jay joined two of his friends in a band, playing bass, acoustic guitar and providing vocals for some of their tracks. During that time Jay developed a dependency on drugs and alcohol that lasted for almost 25 years. After hitting rock bottom, Jay decided it was time to make a change. After 90 days of rehab and with the support of his wife, Nikki, he decided that writing and recording music for himself would be his passion and a way to fill his time instead of drinking and drugging. After a year of sobriety, Reformation was officially born. The new album “Crop Circles” is ready for release on February 10, 2023. Reformation will also be launching the website reformationsc.com which has downloads of all Reformation’s albums: Sound Body and Mind (Demo 2021) A New Day (LP 2022) Crop Circles (Feb 10 2023) Jay is also giving sharing his experiences of being and addict and alcoholic with others struggling with addiction in hopes that if he may help someone like others have helped him.
