REFUGE

About

Refuge are a high energy indie rock band and have been together with their current line up since early 2022, playing many shows and working hard to get their debut Ep release recorded. The band is based in London, UK and consists of 5 members who are: Joseph.C on Lead vocals/rhythm guitar, Andrius.D on Lead guitar, Matteo.I on Keyboards/backing vocals, Ike.O on bass guitar and Louis.M on Drums/backing vocals. The band started as the brainchild of front man Joseph, fed up with the music that he was hearing on the radio, and especially with the decline of big, mainstream rock and roll bands he decided to take action himself. He named the band Refuge, which can have various meanings i.e to take refuge from some modern music, a refuge from life, a refuge from your troubles, a refuge from whatever you wish when you listen to us or come to one of the bands' shows. He then most importantly had to find the right personnel to bring this dream and mission to life, so after moving to London and many trials and tribulations (which subsequently influenced many of the band's tracks), Refuge were fully formed and set in 2022. Each member brought brilliant musicianship and enriched the sound of the band taking in elements of rock, metal, jazz, funk, indie and pop, which are elements that will all be shown on our forthcoming EP ‘Almost Nearly There!’ The band started recording their Ep last November with Michael Vermiere and renowned producer Josh Tyrell mixing and mastering it ready for release this year. The band will also be filming their first music video to accompany the debut single ‘Bored’ also set release this year along with the EP.
