About
Rogue Angels (Originally Gung Ho up to Jan 25) was formed by Mike Clorley-Jones (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Ian Edwards (lead/rhythm guitar), who reignited their successful songwriting partnership from their previous band, Leon. Drawing on hard and classic rock with a “don’t bore us, get to the chorus” ethos, their sound blends influences ranging from AC/DC and Jet to Seether and Shinedown, with touches of nu-metal now creeping in. Using modern technology and social media, Rogue Angels have written, recorded, produced, and managed themselves, building a strong following before recruiting full-time band members. This DIY approach has given them creative control and rapid momentum in today’s music landscape and have enlisted Dominic Gallagher (Bass). Joe Evans (Guitar) and Daz Collins (Drums) Their debut single This Is My Hometown (St Giles Bells) gained over 20k views and widespread local radio and DJ support, including being played at Wrexham FC’s Racecourse Ground. The follow-up singles from their Hometown EP further boosted their profile, earning Seven Year Itch “Best Rock Release” (January 2024) from Premier Radio, along with multiple features on Rock Rage Radio.
