About
Patrick R Thomas needed inspiration. All it took was some chance encounter via the internet with a pdf of a 1970s sound engineering magazine and within it an article about ‘Rosser Electronics’ who built bespoke sound desks out of the Dylan Thomas/BBC building in Swansea. The company was then tasked with creating and installing the communications systems for the Nato headquarters in 1967. Imagining an alternative past for the company where they are tasked with locating the source of a mysterious audio signal within an abandoned Nato Building in the midst of a cold war. The project gave Patrick the kick up the ass he needed to get excited about creating music again. Taking his musical cues for this new project from the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Madlib mixtape bootlegs, jerky post punk, Giallo soundtracks and the outer limits of Brazillian music, Rod Thomas has tapped into a past he never lived in but sometimes wished he did.
