About
Saint Martyn is the project of trans artist RyAnne St Martyn, a self-taught musician and visual artist based in Leicester, UK. St Martyn creates a unique sound that has been described as "gothtronica," a fusion of electronica and gothic music. In RyAnne’s own words Saint Martyn sounds like: “Gary Numan crashing a plane whilst Nine Inch Nails and Massive Attack have an orgy in the cargo hold". Her music is often personal and emotional, exploring themes of gender dysphoria, religion, ADHD, and complex pain. Her first album, Smile, was released in 2021 and gained a small but devoted cult following.
