About
Stratton 5 are an indie rock band from Hertfordshire, UK, and formed in 2019. The band is fronted by a unique female vocal lead, supported by proficient musical interplay between guitars and keyboards. Their distinctive style captures the best of indie rock, indie pop and blues rock, with music and lyrics that belie their youth. Since their first release in 2020 they were nominated by Radio Wigwam for best band. In March 2022, they were selected for radio airplay on BBC Introducing with their song “She Dreams In Red”, and again in May 2022 with “Dread Boy”. The band have been featured on local commercial radio, including Radio Verulam 92.6 FM, Watford Vibe FM, North Manchester FM, and BBC Three Counties Radio. In February 2022, A1(M) Records reviewed “She Dreams In Red” saying “one of the best voices we’ve heard for a while – perfect indie pop harmony – a band with a big future”. Reviews "This is so f****** brilliant...filled with funk & attitude, I totally dig this" @Mike1inFive New Music Saturday with Dr Bones & Mike Five, 03/10/2020. “Lead vocalist Ellie Terry delivers a stellar performance with the style and phrasing of a seasoned professional. The entire band plays well beyond their years. In both execution and composition, ‘That Look’ is a solid and infinitely catchy track”. Static Drive, Bob Smith, 15/10/2020 (Music blog). Ellie Terry: Lead Vocals. Cameron Angrave-Smith: Guitar. Zac Smith: Keyboards. Calum Thompson: Bass. Henry Peet: Drums
