About

The Frestonians are a new wave duo from Ipswich, UK, formed in 2019 by Peter and Wendy. Blending blues and rock influences with an alternative edge, the band built an early following through online gigs during the UK lockdowns, leading to features on BBC Radio Suffolk and the John Peel Centre's "Whole SheBang" show. Their debut EP, Midnight, released in January 2022, was recorded at Audio Lab and produced by Jon Clayton. The EP's success, with tracks played on radio stations worldwide, led to the band's BBC Introducing "Track of the Week" for "Lock Away My Soul" in May 2022. They were subsequently nominated for the NMG Awards in 2022, placing 3rd in the Audience Choice vote. Following their Live in The Smokehouse and The Slow Dance EPs, both released in early 2023, The Frestonians continue to perform regularly around East Anglia. Singles released in 2025 include "The Long Road", "Vibe" and "Fake Friends".
