About

In the shadows of the Lakeland fells, Cumbrian band The Size formed during the latter stages of the Covid pandemic in 2021. Originally comprising a trio with Nick Barnes (Guitar), Jake Metcalfe (Drums) & Mick Baeron (Bass) followed by the introduction of Sarah Case - an experienced singer-songwriter and keyboard player. Several solid gigs and a self-produced debut EP later, Peppi Aglioli joined on drums with Jake switching to guitar. 2023 has been an exciting year for the band with momentum building following high-profile gigs across Cumbria and Lancashire and the release of their first studio produced 3 track EP. United by a passion for music and broad musical interests, The Size won’t be easily locked into a genre, relishing creating original music and fusing styles. Their collaborative approach to songwriting brings together strong melody and lyrics inspired by decades of life experience, crafted into creative, energetic arrangements. With so many influences across their musical palette, they seamlessly move between rock, funk with a dash of pop and even disco to deliver an exciting and varied up-tempo set. Anyone who’s seen the band play will testify to their energetic, honest, and full live sound. As 2023 draws to a close, the band are heading back the studio, working towards recording their debut album, and aiming to grow their fanbase with several live dates across the Northwest of England. Looking forward to 2024 - the future certainly looks bright.
