About
Post-genre underdogs. Pre-therapy melodic hug. TOTAL-EMPTY is a Ukrainian band creating post-genre and deeply atmospheric music. Through the years of its existence, the duo (Vlad Plotnikov, frontman, and Stas Tsykovskyi, drummer) went from “melancholic and atmospheric metal with progressive overtones” to electronic, almost ambient sound. They keep experimenting with different genres with each new release, always sticking to their favourite guitar sound and delivering emotional melodies. TOTAL-EMPTY’s first album was described as «a journey through people’s memories, experiences, and dreams,» and that’s pretty much what their whole art is about. The band uses music as a tool to better understand themselves and the world around them, as a way to release emotions and live through them. As a result, their music resonates easily with listeners, offering them not only an emotional experience but also support for times when life gets too heavy. Starting from February 24, 2022, or to be clear, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, TOTAL-EMPTY donates all the proceeds from sales and streamings to Ukrainian aid funds.
