About

Tuosa is a Finnish rock band delivering energetic, melody-driven stadium rock with modern intensity. Originally formed in Lappeenranta in 2011 and now based in Helsinki, the band blends powerful guitars with atmospheric keyboards and anthemic choruses. After their first live show in 2011, the band went on an extended hiatus and reactivated in 2017. Over the years, the lineup has evolved into its current form: a five-piece whose members have all worked professionally in music at different stages of their careers, with most continuing to do so today. Most members have roots in South Karelia, and all share strong connections to Lappeenranta. Drawing inspiration from modern rock acts such as Muse, The Killers, and Biffy Clyro, Tuosa has developed a sound that balances heaviness with a strong melodic identity. In addition to their upcoming single Curtain Call (2026), Tuosa has released several singles including Dead of the Night, When It All Ends, Through Twilight, and their debut single Down Down, accompanied by a music video produced in collaboration with film and television students from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. Tuosa is: Joel Vuohelainen (vocals), Antti Turtiainen (guitar), Topi Penttilä (bass), Jani Pola (keyboards) & Lauri Pekkarinen (drums)
