About
Cora Manchester is an indie singer/songwriter based in Glasgow. She likes to write dramatic narratives based on her experience, and the resulting sound is unique and exciting; she describes it as "indie pop-rock meets musical theatre". Having been performing for little over 2 years Cora has already received attention and airplay from the likes of BBC introducing and is gradually building a reliable fanbase who seem to connect to the increasing honesty and individuality Cora displays in her music. Cora brings something different to rock music as a female, classically trained pianist, which she is proud to advocate. Cora's music is increasingly focused around storytelling and is often described as sounding similar to musical theatre or progressive rock, with lots of transitions and heightened drama. She draws inspiration from theatre but also from artists such as Muse, Florence + the Machine, Imagine Dragons and Sam Fender. Her live performances with her band are dynamic but intimate, and Cora loves to connect with the audience both musically and verbally. Cora is only just starting out, but she has high hopes for the future. The title of her debut EP – “You haven’t seen the last of me” - just about sums it up - you haven’t seen the last of Cora Manchester!
