About
Girl for Samson are a 3-piece American band comprised of singer/songwriter's Patrick Meagher, Johnny Marie and bassist Steven Brown. The band was formed in 2000. Each member has their own unique influences but collectively we love music that is interesting, thoughtful and unpredictable. Girls albums take forever to produce - we only average an album every 5 years: 12 (2004) sleepnovox (2009) Harriet (2015) Old into Young (2022) Blend all the Seasons (2025) For the first 4 albums members brought in mostly-completed songs for the rest of the band to help flesh out and then we mixed and mastered it ourselves. The songs on Blend all the Seasons were built from grooves and jams and then forged into songs that are ripe with sass.
