About
Inks Lake are a post-punk band from Austin, TX; the group’s music blurs energetic, cathartic sounds and angular aesthetics with catchy melodies and hooks. Due to their raw approach, Inks Lake have drawn a great local following in Austin and plan on heading for East Coast dates later in the year. Channeling the immediacy of artists like Mission of Burma and The Replacements, and the sonic whirlwind of The Chameleons, listeners will also appreciate the group’s unique production style and creative guitar interplay. Interest in Inks Lake has spread quickly with blogs like Austin Town Hall writing “my ears pinned back waiting to hear more!”. Following up on their last single, "Know the voltage", which gained fans and radio airplay around the World, Inks Lake have just finished mixing their debut LP, “Instincts”. The first single from that, “Miami Dawn” will be released on May 31st.
