About
Following on from recent album release ‘It Takes Courage To Be Happy’ which saw the band encapsulate songs honed on a trailblazing 18 month post pandemic UK tour in an old motorhome, Kid Hyena have a surprise single release & forthcoming album for fans with a project that has spanned 5 years. The seed was first germinated in Barcelona and is now taking root in England. ‘B-Side Fantasy’ is a sonic collage project created to unleash the imagination of the band members by essentially breaking up a song into small pieces then reconstructing without rules or stylistic concerns. The first to be released, ‘I remember’, is a song of uplifting melancholy featuring cinematic synths, rolling beats, slinky guitars & vocals in English & Spanish. The song is a remembrance of the cycles of life that manifest through the people we meet, whether for a brief moment or for a longer journey. Each person is a reflection, a memory, a reminder that we have the opportunity to face whatever is necessary, from a place of vulnerability and love.
