About
Based in the vibrant region of Tauranga Moana, New Zealand, we’re a new eight-piece band on the music scene. Originally we got together to play ska covers for a party, but quickly discovered the joy of uniting our different music tastes to create something new yet familiar. We aim to put on a show that unites everyone around, and creates an atmosphere of joy and memorable moments. The name No Reply is in reference to our band’s Whats App group, and the fact we can see people have read the message but…. “No Reply’s music is an infectious blend of catchy melodies and irresistible rhythms that compel listeners to bop their heads along. Influenced by the harmonies of the Beach Boys, the rock vibes of Weezer, and the solid hip hop grooves of the 90’s, the horn lines tip their hats to the Wellington dub and roots scene. They create a sound that is simultaneously familiar and refreshingly unique.” – Sam Cummins (Tauranga Music Critic)
