Novus Vita are a 4-piece rock band, who’s style ranges from punk, through hard rock, prog, metal to an occasional dash of pop. They appeal to a wide age range, delivering a distinctive punchy, heavy, dystopian, haunting sound, where it feels less like music and more like voltage in the air before a storm. Their debut LP ‘Out of The Shadows’ released on the 5th of March 2026, comes in a year where a dystopian future for humanity is becoming more probable with every day that passes. The increasingly worrying ongoing issues we face as a society, both externally and internally, add fuel to the fire of the band. Their standout tracks are God Only Knows and I Seek Freedom. These two tracks showcase you the contrast of styles that are prominent throughout the album. BIO 3 of the members are based around Stratford Upon Avon and the vocalist is based in the North Midlands. All four band members have previously gigged in bands touring around the UK and internationally. They have also recorded single’s, EP’s & albums. Band Members Andy Green, Nick Bushell and Nick Beesley have been writing music together for over 10 years, without having a permanent vocalist in place. It wasn’t until 2018 that they approached Alex Lochrie, to request a collaboration. She joined them and began writing lyrics and melodies for the ongoing recording project. After years of working together writing music, not really knowing where it would lead, it has ultimately bought them to this moment in which they have decided to step out as a band and release their first LP. Recorded at Rhythm Studios, with the help of producer and sound engineer Paul Johnston, they have rounded up a section of 11 songs in which they come together not only for the love of the same music, but for themes that carry the same weight on a personal level. Anger at injustice, fear of where things are heading, grief for what keeps happening, whilst underneath it all upholding a stubborn defiant hope.
